The inside scoop: Minor adjustments to the midsole geometries in the 1080v14 include reduced radius on areas of the heel and slightly higher sidewalls, all with the intention of giving the 1080 a more universally appealing ride. The triple jacquard upper material allows New Balance to include porous breathability zones in the shoe. The outsole is stiffer in the forefoot, adding a dynamic snap to toe-off.
