PRC Presents Trail Days 2021

PRC Presents Trail Days 2021

Ryan Heal |

Saturday, November 13 at 10 AM
PRC 2258 NW Raleigh St. in PDX

Level up your trail-running game with Portland Running Company at our first annual Trail Days event. The day starts with a trail run from our store on Raleigh Street into Forest Park and back. We'll have shoes for you to try on the run from Altra, HOKA, and Brooks.

Enjoy product demos from Therabody, COROS, Goodr, and Pro-Tec. Taste-test nutrition from CLIF, Spring Energy, The Human Nutrition Project, and Hammer.

Also on tap: A panel of experts to give you the real dirt on trail running, plus a chance to register for volunteer opportunities with the Forest Park Conservancy.

We'll wrap it up with a wild raffle including several shoe giveaways.
Not everyone will win shoes, but everyone can take advantage of steep markdowns on select trail footwear at the event.

Attendance at PRC's Trail Days is free and open to all. Click here to get updates, register your interest, and invite your friends.

ROUTE: Here's the route for the Trail Days run. Runners will depart from our store at 2258 NW Raleigh St. and take NW 27th Avenue and Thurman Street to the start of Leif Erikson Drive in Forest Park (1.5 miles). From there we recommend a lollipop that takes in Leif Erikson Drive-Wild Cherry Trail-Wildwood Trail-Dogwood Trail-and a return to Thurman via Leif (2.67 miles). Return to our store the way you came (1.5 miles, 5.67 miles total). Here is a map of the route inside the park:

Runners who wish to check out tester shoes from the store and drive to and from the park to limit the amount of pavement in their run can do so.

SPEAKERS: We have an exciting lineup of speakers for Trail Days! Read about them below.

Rachel Drake (pictured) - Professional trail runner for Nike, seventh at Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix (101K, >20,000' climbing) in 2019; other recent results include wins at Waldo 100K and Volcanic 50K.

Matt Palmer - Nike Trail shoe developer behind the Pegasus Trail 3.

Marianne Falk - Trail racer (2nd at Post Canyon 50K and 12th at Lake Sonoma 50mi. this year) and Forest Park Conservancy Development Director

Jake Stout - Local trail racer (who holds FKTs for a couple of Forest Park's gnarliest routes), coach, and physical therapist

In addition, come meet Run With Paula owner and race director Paula Harkin who has not only run many trail races but developed a few of her own. More event information here: https://fb.me/e/1TCEVyFJC
