Registration has opened for the brand new, Highway-30-less Portland Marathon.
As reported yesterday in the Portland Business Journal this year's marathon will debut a brand new course.
The course realignment has eliminated the long stretches through industrial NW PDX and now includes a loop around the Moda Center, a jaunt through Reed College, a flyby of OMSI, and a Sellwood Bridge crossing.
Elevation stays between 35 feet and 175 feet. Runners who train by running Waterfront loops will feel right at home on the new course.
Register by May 14 and use the code PDXReborn to save $10 off the initial entry fee of $125. Race day is set for October 6, 2019.
