The GEL-KAYANO™ Lite model is new to the ASICS performance running line. Like the standard Kayano, this shoe produces superb comfort underfoot and added support designed to set the foot up for an efficient toe-off. Kayano LITE does all the same heavy lifting as the Kayano, but it does it with 20% less weight.

How? With a suite of innovations that starts with the removal of materials-—instead of piling on more.

ASICS engineers created specific deformable shapes defined by hollow grooves on the top of the midsole to slow the rate of pronation, while the flared geometry of the midsole adds the right amount of support.

A concave shape on the lateral (outside) heel and convex shape on the medial (inside) heel helps generate more compression during the landing phase, which increases the resistance when the foot starts rolling inward at mid-stance.

Additionally, the wider base in the shoe’s heel and forefoot provides more surface area to create a stable landing and toe-off.

Featuring an engineered mesh upper from recycled materials, this shoe also includes minimal overlays that target support where it's needed most. The GEL-KAYANO™ Lite shoe is helping ASICS take a step toward more sustainable manufacturing without compromising performance.
